Four seasons oahu5/20/2023 ![]() The good news is that the Wailana Pool - open for adults (18 y.o.+) only - usually has seating available even when the main pool is crowded. Guests would start claiming lounge chairs around the main pool early each morning if you showed up at 9:00 am you might have difficulty finding a seat by the main pool. There are lots of really good things about Aulani, but one drawback is that in the pre-pandemic days many guests stayed around the resort, which made the main pool fairly crowded. But here are a few comments about Aulani that might give you a better feel for the resort. We have never been to the Four Seasons so I can't make a comparison between the two resorts. We are an adult couple without kids and we have always enjoyed our time at Aulani. ![]() We have been to Aulani four times since 2012, the last trip being in 2018. I’m familiar with the feel of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, but I’ve never visited the Ko Olina area, so have no point of reference for comparing the Four Seasons to Aulani. I’ve been to Oahu once about 10 years ago, but this will be DH first trip. My plan is to spend the Honolulu portion of the trip doing “activities” and touring around the island, and the Ko Olina portion of the trip mostly relaxing at the resort, with possibly a whale or dolphin tour thrown in. I could also possibly use some American Express Rewards points to offset the cost of a room at the Four Seasons (ouch!!) But I wonder if it would be a better fit for an adults only trip. The pools don’t look as themed as the ones at Aulani. I really like the idea of having a full kitchen and a washer/dryer so we can pack lightly, since it will be a 9 night trip in all.īut I’ve been looking at the website for the Four Seasons right next door and the rooms look fantastic. I don’t have enough points to book the room category I would want at Aulani (1 BR Ocean View.) So I would either be renting points, purchasing more points, or looking at a cash stay with some possible discounts. It will be an adult only trip, meant to celebrate DH 50th birthday, albeit a year late due to Covid. ![]() ![]() Buffet breakfasts are available daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM for a fee.We are planning a visit to Hawaii next year in late Jan into early Feb (hopefully.) I’m planning to book 5 nights at the Royal Hawaiian in Honolulu and then 4 nights either at Aulani or right next door at the Four Seasons. Unwind at the end of the day with a drink at the bar/lounge or the poolside bar. Snacks are also available at the coffee shop/cafe. Grab a bite to eat at one of the resort's 4 restaurants, or stay in and take advantage of the 24-hour room service. Additional amenities at this resort include concierge services, babysitting (surcharge), and an arcade/game room. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, which include 4 outdoor swimming pools, outdoor tennis courts, and a health club. Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments, and facials. Private bathrooms with separate bathtubs and showers feature complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. Cable programming and DVD players are provided for your entertainment, while complimentary wireless Internet access keeps you connected. Your pillowtop bed comes with down comforters and premium bedding. Make yourself at home in one of the 370 air-conditioned rooms featuring refrigerators and flat-screen televisions.
